*UPDATE*
Here is another interview that went up today at 1up.com: Gaming Culture: Untooned Mario
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the curious there's a short interview up at a Mexican website. Here it is in the original Spanish:
Interview de Pixeloo
And here it is with Google working its translation magic:
Interview of Pixeloo
(skimming over the translation, its relatively accurate)

I am very impressed with your work. The interview was very insightful (though the translation could have been better). I have to ask: do you consider this art work? It certainly seems to take alot of creativity and skillbut I'm still unsure... anyway the pics are great! Keep doin' what you do!

You have a very active imagination - to put various components together -- such as ih eye-hand coordination.
some of us who are left-handed and not too coordinated could feature the whole thing backwards -- as in exclusive of each other.
The 2nd image from right looks like a cartoon character that's familiar in U.S..

Wow! Great work. I'd love to see the rest of the work as Jessica isn't QUITE how I imagined. ;) I always thought she had lighter skin and Ms. Jolie's but I have to admit the eye was a close match, and that is why I think others say she looks like her.

...i thought this done by Gottfried Helnwein ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gottfried_Helnwein ) ... but it's PIXELOO ;-) ... GREAT work of art in every detail - i love the smokey light that frame jessica top right, and of course the lip-work and the hair swing texture work!
